Public Safety Career Day***

The Human Papilloma Virus HPV may be the most widespread, misunderstood and potentially dangerous epidemic that most people hardly know anything about. 80 percent of all people under 50 years of age will have a strain of the virus at some point in their lives and most will not even realize they have it. Cervical cancer is almost exclusively caused by HPV and it is the 2nd leading cancer in women. Worldwide, cervical cancer kills over 250,000 women every year. Meet five unforgettable women whose lives have been changed forever and even interrupted by this deadly virus. One of these women graduated from IUPUI.

Field Trip Fridays: Urban Nutrition with Growing Places Indy***
The Health & Life Sciences Advising Center and Growing Places Indy (http://www.growingplacesindy.org/) will be hosting a service-learning event for students interested in nutrition, urban farming, and community health. Attendees will participate in a Q&A session with Growing Places Indy staff, then will have the opportunity to volunteer with one of the organization's nearby urban gardens.
